Discussion points:

  • Introducing new volunteers:

    We welcome Nisha and Mira.

  • Bus project of SSS:

    Rupali called from India and we discussed the bus project of Sandnya Sanwardhan Sanstha in details. We were concerned with the amount to be charged by the IIT Bombay. Murali had several good suggestions. Rupali will follow up on those.

  • Projects funding: 

    Since we raised good funds recently, we will release more funds towards the following projects.

     

    • Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama Sargachi: http://www.ashanet.org/projects/project-view.php?p=1153 : Their budget is 18,16,000 for this year, and we released 17 lakhs. Remaining 1.16 lakhs will be released in April 2017 to support book bank, coaching institute for students and vocational training program for the village youth, and for the student exchange program between IIT Jodhpur and RKMA Sargachi, and other operating expenses, for the period April 2016 to March 2017.
    • Sandnya Sanwardhan Sanstha: http://www.ashanet.org/projects/project-view.php?p=686
      We agreed to send up to 50,000 USD as a corpus funds to this project. The amount will be converted to INR at the time of releasing the funds, which will be later this year.
