Discussion points:

  • Introducing new volunteers: We welcome the new volunteers.
  • Fundraising Event: Percentage night with Chipotle on Wed November 8.
  • ARC Proposal: Discussed the proposals at length. Abhyuday explained the concept of ARC to the new volunteers. All the volunteers agreed to vote Yes for the proposal. In particular we agreed to have the minimum of 6 votes to project disbursements.

  • Projects:
    • Sandnya Sanwardhan Sanstha: http://ashanet.org/project/?pid=686

Wheelchairs will be manufactured by a local company of Nagpur, so that SSS can oversee it closely. SSS will get the chassis made by a company in Sweden. Then they will import it from Sweden to India (chassis is only a part of a bus so the import duty will not be big). Tata Motors will assemble the bus once they get the chassis and wheelchairs. The total expenses are still not known but should not be significantly more that what was initially proposed.

    • Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama Narendrapur - Book Bank: http://ashanet.org/project/?pid=839
In our previous meeting we approved INR 3,00,000 to cover the cost of purchasing books, educational materials and other materials of the book bank, and other operating expenses, for the period April 2017 to March 2018. Abhyuday discussed two communications from the project partner and explained the request for covering the cost of 200 admissions under Vivekananda Child Development Project (1 lakh of that 3 lakh budget).
    • Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama Sargachi:http://ashanet.org/project/?pid=1153
Anuja will possibly visit the project in December.
